A revolutionary treatment from COLOR.ME by KEVIN.MURPHY is changing the way colour is created behind the chair. The only question is: do you have your pH.D?

When it comes to creating beautiful hair colour, COLOR.ME has always strived to give colourists tools to create endless possibilities in the salon. From intermixable SHADES to a range of TONERS and various LIGHTENER options, one of the latest innovations — pH.D — now allows colourists to transform any permanent SHADE to a no-lift, no-shift, deposit-only hair colour.

Why You’ll Love pH.D:

By reducing an alkaline colour and making it more acidic, you are able to expand service offerings in the salon with stunning results for clients without the need to add an entirely new colour line — saving space and the initial investment.

How It Works:

pH.D is formulated with naturally-derived ingredients rich in flavonoids like Lemongrass, Sweet Orange & Grapefruit. The beauty of these essential oils comes from their ability to help the cuticle lay flay, reflect light and impart shine, leading to smoother hair that’s also easier to blow-dry.

To give you an inside look into how pH.D performs watch the video below! We’re demonstrating how this product transfers damaged, uneven, dull and lifeless hair into smooth, shiny beautiful hair on our gorgeous model Aisha.

Aisha was colouring her own hair at home and her porosity was medium to high. Her hair colour was uneven with areas of both dark level 5 depth and lighter level 7 depth that had mixed reflects throughout.

FORMULA

5.7 + 5% + pH.D LIQUID.ACTIVATOR 10 VOL. (3%)

B 6.43 + 20% YELLOW + 10% pH.D + LIQUID.ACTIVATOR 10 VOL. (3%)

  • STEP 1  To prep the hair for a pH.D colour service, gently cleanse the hair with the KEVIN.MURPHY wash of your choice. We used ANGEL.WASH. Follow with ANGEL.RINSE to even out porosity to create an even canvas for your colour.
  • STEP 2 – Towel dry and apply FORMULA A to new growth.
  • STEP 3 – Follow with FORMULA B on the mid-lengths and ends.
  • STEP 4 – Develop for a total of 20 minutes.
  • STEP 5 – Rinse the hair using the pH.D finishing regimen.
  • STEP 6 – Style as desired.

pH.D is being used for many different techniques in the salon. We spoke with Kate Reid COLOR.ME DESIGN.DIRECTOR, Lee Belcher from Sweet Squared and Ian Kelly of Organic Hairdressing in the UK and they shared with us their favourite formulas plus how they are using pH.D on their clients.

“I’m really excited by the new COLOR.ME NUDE SHADES coming in March, the BEIGE.VIOLET .28’s. Doing new growth shadows with the new 9.28 + 10% pH.D for a natural look or for grey blending and creating a soft finish, I love 9.00 + 10% pH.D – it creates cool, natural end results.” — Kate Reid, COLOR.ME DESIGN.DIRECTOR

“When I do a soft balayage I like an all over refinement so often I utilise 8.2 + 10% pH.D making my melts connect. I’m also using SHADES I never used before like 9.3 to give me a soft gold-minky blonde.” — Lee Belcher, Sweet Squared

“We use 10.0 + SOFT.VIOLET to take away the harshness look of bleached highlight or secondly we use a lot of 10.3 + pH.D over sun lightened ends to give a softer, prettier blonde.” — Ian Kelly, Organic Hairdressing
