DRESSCODE PROJECT

A global alliance of salons/shops committed to providing positive, gender-affirming services for LGBTQ2S+ clients. Created by Kristin Rankinis, owner of Fuss Salon in Toronto, after receiving gratitude from a Transgender woman for a comfortable salon experience, Kristin saw the apparent need to make sure other LGBTQ2S+ members could always have this experience. Since then, the Dress Code Project (DCP) has reached global status, working with salons around the world to promote complete inclusivity and diversity. To become a DCP salon, you can inquire via their website; criteria you must follow include all staff being on board with the project, willingness to provide gender-neutral bathrooms, and completion of the required training. DCP is dedicated to providing any additional support needed for continued education or any questions that may arise. Once a salon is approved, they are then added to the DCP official web salon locator, where clients can search for a nearby safer space salon.
