The Latest Hairstyle Trends Inspired by Fashion Week Around the Globe
From Paris to New York, the much-anticipated fashion weeks around the globe have been closely watched this season. As we all pine for a sense of inspiration and escapism, we’re also secretly planning our new looks for spring and summer. Here, we’re detailing the shows and the styles that we’ll be dreaming about well into summer and fall.
NYFW
Alejandra Alonso Rojas
Pushed back, wind-swept and utterly whimsy — the hair at the Fall 2024 Alejandra Alonso Rojas show was just as fantastical as her collection. Created by @joeygeorge using KEVIN.MURPHY products, the key to achieving this effortless-looking up style was thanks to a few key stylers. Namely — HAIR.RESORT, HAIR.RESORT.SPRAY, DOO.OVER, POWDER.PUFF and BEDROOM.HAIR. The hair opened up the entire look, giving way to the lush fabrics, layers, textures and silhouettes seen on the runway.
Diotima
Showing fringe, macrame, cut-outs, embellishment and a little bit of something for everyone — just like the pieces on the Diotima runway, the hair for this show capitalised on texture! Creating hair that bridged the sense of the artistry intertwined in the pieces and the natural hair of the models’, @joeygeorge used SUPER.GOO, SESSION.SPRAY, KILLER.CURLS, YOUNG.AGAIN and SHIMMER.SHINE to capture their essence. Flowing curls, twisted half-up styles and sleek ponytails — it all works on this runway.
Private Policy
Marked as one of the best collections seen by Private Policy, the runway was a mixture of concepts where Technology meets the Wild Wild West in an AI world. To emphasise the fabrics and overall feel of the show, super sleek hairstyles with plenty of sheen created a glass-like hair effect on the Private Policy runway. To create the look, Shingo Shibata utilised SESSION.SPRAY, ANTI.GRAVITY.SPRAY, SHIMMER.SHINE, SUPER.GOO and YOUNG.AGAIN for a futuristic finish that will shine on all season.
COPENHAGEN
From the ALPHA collection, featuring 10 emerging designers to Henrik Vibskov’s eclectic movement, LOVECHILD1979 layered looks and Mark Kenly Domino Tan’s dreamy silhouettes — while some traced their designs back to the classics, many (if not most) leaned into AI as their inspiration. When it came to the hair a mix of polished styles, sleek low ponytails and lived-in texture dominated thanks to the KEVIN.MURPHY hair team lead by Maximo Morello @maximomorello.
PARIS COUTURE WEEK
Paris Couture Week was quite the talk of the world this season as on-lookers were transported in time with expert corseting, glass skin and unreal silhouettes that screamed classic couture. KEVIN.MURPHY products were a smash hit at both the SS 2024 collections by Miss Sohee and Rami Al Ali.
Rami Al Ali
Maximo Morello led the KEVIN.MURPHY hair team at Rami Al Ali creating slight side-parted up styles with minimal tension and maximum shine.
Miss Sohee
At the Spring Summer 2024 Miss Sohee (@miss_sohee) show, the corsetry was first and foremost followed by sleek stylised up styles created by Shingo Shibata using KEVIN.MURPHY products.
