The Environment
“I have always been passionate about environmental issues, but it wasn’t until I created my first line of products that I really became aware of just how much harm the production processes of any product can have upon the environment.” – Kevin Murphy
There is a
universal truth that applies to every single living being and binds us together as one, no matter where you live and no matter what nationality you are… that simple truth is – we all depend upon our planet’s environment for survival.
Years of overpopulation and industrialisation have inflicted harmful change to our planet’s environment, and it is only more recently that we, as industrialised cultures, have realised the harm we are doing, and the imbalances we are creating throughout the natural world. The negative effects of such damage can be seen and felt in the changes to our climate and throughout nature.
Looking at cultures who live in harmony with the natural environment, cultures that truly understand how to live on this planet, what you see is that they live off the land, making the most of its natural resources, yet they maintain a constant balance between what they take and what they give back – they share the bountiful goodness of nature by living in harmony with the elements and maintaining their natural resources. The indigenous cultures of the world have shared this common belief and knowledge for centuries.
In light of this knowledge, at KEVIN.MURPHY, we make every effort to help and protect the environment by utilising packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable. We use only natural ingredients from sustainable and renewable sources, that are harvested in a way that does no harm to the environment at all.
At KEVIN.MURPHY, we maintain our commitment to the environmental issues that affect us. We create products with a conscience that does no harm to our environment by utilising packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable. We use only sulphate free surfactants that effectively cleanse and remove surface oil and dirt, without stripping or depleting the hair of its colour.
