Introducing Nirvana + Dreamtime Beach—Where Self-Expression Takes Shape
It takes a great deal of work to create a finished look. It starts with a vision and inspiration, comes together with a group of dedicated artists spanning hair, makeup, wardrobe, photography and creative direction, and then gets presented to you. And while finished images move quickly, especially on social media, the movement behind the scenes to get them there is a long, well-thought-through process that spans months.
Our latest campaigns—Dreamtime Beach and Nirvana—shed light on the process, taking you behind the scenes to explore some of the steps involved. Photographed in Northern Rivers, Australia it took us all back to a place that hit home, literally. With two distinct stories, carried by a similar thread, you can see the vision of the KEVIN.MURPHY team take shape to deliver signature yet unique styles throughout each. With high-performance products for high-performance hair, each begs you to do things a little differently.
Dreamtime Beach
Beachy hair has always and will always be a large part of who we are. Symbolising where the brand began, this style moves past our postcode to deliver on chic with the perfect amount of messy. With Dreamtime Beach, we wanted to highlight hair in its most natural form—as a construct of self-expression. Drawing attention to the diverse lifestyles that wear this type of look and the individuality it exudes, it was created to be a haven for contemplation, meditation, rhythm and serenity. Let go of perfection and decide to do things differently.
Nirvana
This one’s for the dreamers and the artists. Everyone has a facet of themselves that strives to break all the rules and be unique, and Nirvana is the place where it all comes together. The styles transport us to 1960s Marrakesh, where simplicity meets a luxe way of life. Bohemian-forward and all about freedom of self-expression, you can practically hear the tune in the distance carrying the beat of a different time.
