Recognised internationally for his long list of celebrity clientele and countless pages of editorial work for high-end magazines around the globe, the Melbourne born hair stylist began his styling days as an apprentice in a Queensland salon. He then went on to train at the famous Vidal Sassoon in London. Murphy’s impressive career spans more than two decades, during which he has established himself as an industry icon and a hair master.
With an international profile that has seen him work with leading fashion photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Robert Erdman and Richard Bailey, he has created styles for international editions of Vogue, Harper”s Bazaar, Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, InStyle, Rush, GQ, among others.

Nathan cut his teeth working in the European film and editorial industry before returning to live in Sydney. He has been with the KEVIN.MURPHY team for over six years, attracted by the core values of product performance, environmental credibility and its fashion stance.
Active in both the Editorial and Runway world, Nathan has worked with clients ranging from Salvatore Ferragamo, Vogue, Chanel and working with many of the top models in the industry. A career that has spanned many Continents, a long list of Runway accolades and global add campaigns, Nathan is equally at home in the Salon or educating for KEVIN.MURPHY.
Nathan has a passion for KEVIN.MURPHY education and is committed to providing the best quality as well as creative education and product understanding possible. His role as HEAD.MASTER has him collaborating with the talented KEVIN.MURPHY creative team to ensure that anyone who comes in contact with a KEVIN.MURPHY educator leaves feeling inspired and with insight.

A baby faced veteran of 20 years, James has that certain je ne sais-quois that endears him to his clients.
Hailing from Perth, James spread his wings overseas before he chose Melbourne as his base, where his salon delivers a unique experience for Clients and Stylists alike!
James visits his fiercely loyal clients in Sydney and Perth when he can. “As a freelance Session Stylist, my work reflects strong dramatic shapes and natural forming textures, reflecting the KEVIN.MURPHY aesthetic and philosophy,” says James. “I’m passionate to share what I have learned and learn while I share.”

Wade Blackford; is a KEVIN.MURPHY STYLE.MASTER and the primary educator for Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
Wade has been lucky enough to work with many high profile stylists during his 20 years in the industry and has mentored numerous stylists in salons and directed many at Fashion Week events.

During the last seven years as a STYLE.MASTER educating for KEVIN.MURPHY, Wade has a well-documented passion for the art of hair and has worked at and directed many runways events such as Melbourne Fashion Week, Australia Fashion Week and Taiwan Vogue Fashion Night Out. Wade has done numerous Editorial Shoots and also won the Australia Hair Fashion Awards coveted Avant Guard Hair Stylist of the Year.
Wade joined the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa team on September 1st 2014 and he now works fulltime for KEVIN.MURPHY as a STYLE.MASTER across the region.
Lauren Gunn/ STYLE.MASTER
Based out of Auckland, New Zealand Lauren Gunn is a session hairstylist with a reputation for producing beautiful editorial work both in the salon and amongst the creative industry’s finest.
Lauren began her career as a color technician with Auckland salon Stephen Marr and later became Creative Director for the company, striving to build strong relationships in fashion and design and provide opportunity for emerging stylists to get their hands dirty with session work.
Collaborating with designers, photographers, musicians and film-makers, Lauren is right at home creating looks for fashion and advertising campaigns, runway, music clips and editorial.
For the past decade Lauren has been the driving force behind many of the looks at NZ Fashion Week and a regular hand backstage in New York, where her passion for working with talented teams, creating beautiful hair and soaking up skills is well noted.
‘KEVIN.MURPHY has always had a presence in my work. From it’s inception the ethos of the brand has inspired me and helped me push the boundaries of how I see hair and what I do with it. For me it was the first brand to really show the world that high fashion, hair fashion and ordinary folk need not be mutually exclusive.’

Lucy Iasenzaniro is a Director and Partner at Belissimo Hair in Adelaide for 25 years. A Style Master SA for Kevin Murphy, Lucy’s resume is quite extensive, from being the Winner of AHFA South Australian Hairdresser of the year 2008 to being a finalist of AHFA South Australian Hairdresser of the year 2009.
Her experience in a number Fashion shows, including MSFW 2008/2011 as well as in Sydney Rosemount Fashion Week 2008 are only a few of the milestones that Lucy has succeeded in.
She worked closely alongside Kevin Murphy in the Adelaide show Shoot.Me as Style Master SA and has been Involved in two of Kevin Murphy’s campaigns with leading photographers Troyt Coburn and Georges Antoni.
Lucy’s work has been published in magazines both internationally and nationally as well as received front cover of Culture Magazine in August 2010. She has judged many live hair competitions in the last two decades as well as help produce an Adelaide based show called ‘Color.Me.Up’ for Kevin Murphy to educate and inspire more Adeladians with his amazing product line. Product such as the COLOR.BUG helped showcase the trends on the catwalk, blogs and magazines during the show.
She has also done education for Kevin Murphy with the up and coming youth of the industry. As Lucy puts it, “I love working with young talent, as it keeps me inspired!”
After 33 years, Lucy still remains excited and passionate about the industry and looks forward to what’ s ahead both in fashion and in personal growth.

PAULINE MCLAUGHLIN MCCABE/ STYLE.MASTER
Pauline McLaughlin McCabe started her training in Scotland with the famous, award winning Scottish hairdressing team, Irvine and Rita Rusk. Going on quickly to work shows in Europe, Pauline became involved with educating hairdressers and working with some of the worlds top designers.
At the young age of twenty-one, Pauline became Art Team Director for Rusk Inc. and was relocated to Los Angeles. She travelled extensively throughout America and Canada, teaching hairdressing as well as doing stage and seminar work.
It was during her time in Los Angeles that Pauline was headhunted by the world famous OBE awarded Trevor Sorbie. Pauline became Art Director for Sorbie and was relocated back to London. While there, she worked on fashion shows including Gucci, Vivienne Westwood, Armani and Valentino.
Pauline went on to open her own salon on London’s King Road. The salon, MacGregor McLaughlin, was to become a very successful Aveda-concept salon. Pauline has had her work published worldwide with appearances in Marie Claire and Vogue as well as having two front covers of British Hairdressing Journal.
Now in Australia, Pauline has worked as Art Director for Maurice Meade in Perth, as well as working on Sydney, Melbourne and Perth Fashion Weeks. She has worked with bands creating album covers such as The Dave Mann Collective and styles the hair of Eskimo Joe band member Tony Bourke. Pauline has had the great opportunity to work with many other celebrity clients including Master Chef judge, Anna Gare.

With twenty-five years of experience and many accolades and accomplishments, Sandra Faiva has accumulated a lot of knowledge.
Sandra gained incredible experience by travelling to London to work and train at Vidal Sassoon’s Mayfair Salon. Having always loved their strong styles and shapes, she returned to Australia to be part of the Toni & Guy Artistic team, delivering education throughout Australia for over 10 years. During this period, she was also in charge of the National Vardering Program (Toni & Guys renowned in house training program). For the last nine years with the company, she owned and operated the Queensland flagship and academy salon in Brisbane.
Now with Revolution Hairdressing, a husband and wife team, they offer a boutique service to clients and education to hairdressers of all levels. Over the years, Sandra has developed a love of session styling. Working alongside Kevin and the rest of the KEVIN.MURPHY Session team at the 2012 Melbourne Spring Fashion Week was a real career highlight. “Being part of the Australian KEVIN.MURPHY team is a real dream come true. I can combine my two loves of beautiful hair and education!”

Australian born, Tim McClean trained under the creative forces of Melbourne’s top salons, learning classic techniques in cutting and styling before moving abroad to North America. Tim’s career has taken him behind the scenes at fashion shows in North America, Australia and the UK, as well as on editorial shoots, educating salons and being a platform artist for our industry.

Native Philadelphian residing in San Diego, Jay has spent his career studying his craft under top stylist in our industry. Landing the opportunity to develop a skill set in both Cosmetology and Barbering in the US, Canada, and London, Jay has elevated himself to Global Educator, Technical and Art Director, Platform and Session Artist and published editorial work. He has participated in both LA and NY fashion week and now has joined the KEVIN.MURPHY Cutting Team.

David has developed a reputation for being one of the most dependable and talented hairdressers in the industry.

Sarah became part of the beauty industry over 11 years ago, she has had the opportunity to train and work in top salons giving her a wealth of technical knowledge. Sarah has worked on shoots for local magazines, been part of fashion shows as well as heading up the creative planning for shows. She has experience working on web based education and features for the Mall of America blog and advertising.
Animated, energetic and inspiring Sarah has always found her passion for Hairdressing in education. After being introduced to Kevin.Murphy she instantly fell in love with the idea of Skin Care for the Hair and the ability to create beautiful looks in a sustainable way. Finding her place in the industry, Sarah joined the Kevin.Murphy team in 2007.

Over the past decade, Ali has taken her passion for education and all things “hair”, from behind the chair into salons across North America. Now, as a STYLE.MASTER for the brand, Ali believes that Hairdressers have the unique opportunity to grow within their craft by pursuing new avenues of inspiration. STYLE.MASTER, Joseph Gossen has been a leading professional for over twenty years in the beauty industry. Working as a Stylist in renowned salons across Canada, Joseph has been the owner of an award winning salon and spa in the heart of Montréal. His career then led him into session styling behind the scenes on film, TV, magazines and the back-stages of many runway shows, he has also styled a range of celebrities from sports, television, music and film.
Joseph has been a regular contributor providing numerous articles on business and fashion trends to leading magazines such as Salon Magazine, In and Fashion. In 2011, he was called upon to judge the prestigious Contessa Hair Awards, recognizing top Canadian talent.
He has worked with some of the most innovative companies in the beauty industry, developing one of a kind education programs, seasonal hair collections, and presenting on stages across North America. In 2002, realizing his passion for fashion photography, inspired by the experiences of working behind the lens, Joseph started photographing conceptual images for Professional beauty brands as well as developing portfolios for up and coming models. In 2011 he joined Kevin.Murphy with a desire to re-ignite passion for styling while making an environmental difference through eco-conscious products.

Timothy Durant has excelled in the hair industry for 17 years. This native Texan, now residing in Los Angeles, creates looks that have been seen on film, runways and industry ad campaigns. He brings a diverse knowledge to KEVIN.MURPHY due to his work in education alongside industry leaders over the past ten years. He approaches education in a way that encourages stylists to understand and achieve their maximum potential. Timothy believes that mastering technique is the key to becoming a successful stylist.
Molding runway fashions into wearable styles for salon clients, Timothy was instantly drawn to KEVIN.MURPHY’s healthy approach to hair and is always excited to share this knowledge.

The exposure of british hairdressing in the very early nineties proved to be a turning point in my career. Marianne Jensen is a Hairdresser working as a SESSION.MASTER. She is known for fusing the traditional styling techniques together with today’s trends. Clients include Elle, Vogue, Cover, European clothing brands and of course, last but never the less, KEVIN.MURPHY as a Guest Artist. She has been teaching hairdressers new technics for over twenty years.
Marianne is THE Stylist in Denmark. With her twenty years in the industry, she is the obvious choice when the chic Royal Family is searching for a Stylist.
Marianne’s love for KEVIN.MURPHY has now brought her into the company. She is working as a Guest Artist, showing her looks and inspiration with the help of KEVIN.MURPHY products. For fifteen years, Marianne has worked with Supermodel Helena Christensen, who of course also has fallen in love with KEVIN.MURPHY.
She has gained great recognition in NYC where she has worked on many shows, shoots and campaigns, in particular Noir, Day, Baum und Pferdgarten, Bruuns Bazaar, BZR and plenty of magazines at home and abroad. She has styled Helena Christensen, Connie Nielsen among many others. Marianne took the lead when she gave rock stars Sharin Foo & Pernille Rosendahl the page back.
Home in Denmark, Marianne has worked on numerous shows including Stine Goya, Day, Noa Noa, Louise Amstrup, Wackerhaus, Hugo Boss, Mads Norgaard, Noir and Munthe + Simonsen. She has been responsible for the looks at CIFF Trend Show at Copenhagen Fashion Week for nine seasons now.
CRAIG HUGHAN/ SESSION.MASTER
A renowned hairstylist, his exceptional work in the fashion and beauty industry extends over twenty-seven years. Being raised in New Zealand, Craig Hughnan is a true Kiwi! He discovered his love and passion for hair at the age of 13 while working his first job in a local salon – Graffiti. The start of his career falls back to his apprenticeship at a summer haven in Nelson, where his inspiration and energy led him to compete and achieve Apprentice of the Year. It was truly a kick-start to his professional hairdressing career.
In 1995, Craig’s desire to discover and progress led to a spontaneous and radical move to Auckland NZ. With his car packed with everything he owned, Craig set off in anticipation of his future. While in Auckland, he worked his way up to become a Servilles’ creative team member, an influence that had become tremendously powerful.
During his experience working with Paul de Serville, Craig was exposed to world class, high-end photography and editorial work, practicing and mastering the craft of hair.
The next level to his career landed him at Ryder Salon, where he focused mostly on Fashion Weeks & Editorials.
In 2002, Craig experienced an amazing break-through, winning New Zealand L’Oreal Supreme Hairdresser of The Year. Following only a few years later was yet another major award, the Expo New Zealand Hairdresser. As his business at Ryder grew, Craig became a Director and business partner within the company. Following the earning of his awards, Craig quickly became an established educator, which he notes as one of the most enjoyable experiences he’s had to date.
For over 15 years, his involvement in the fashion industry brought him to work numerous Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks in Sydney, New Zealand and London. Adding on to his already noteworthy reputation, he was able to work alongside top directors such as Tracey Colebrook and Greg Murlle, as well as fashion designers such as Zambesi, Nom-D, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Huffer and Karen Walker.
Education has been an integral part of Craig’s footprint in the industry, passing on knowledge and development of his own craftsmanship. His current position as a KEVIN.MURPHY European SESSION.MASTER allows him to work along side Kevin Murphy and his talented members of the company.
For the last three years, Craig has been all about developing and focusing his new salon concept ‘s t o l e n’, pairing design with luxury and infusing a distinct type of street fashion, culture and style. Building his reputation in Europe and pursuing the editorial world to its fullest, Craig’s work regularly appears in Elle Magazine, Marie-Claire, BLUE PAPER, Maxima Portugal and various advertising campaigns.
Outside of business, Craig enjoys design, café racers with a mix of street culture and of course, HAIR!
Ilona de Leeuw/ SESSION.MASTER
Smart, vibrant, eager and full of humor. A few keywords to characterize hairstylist Ilona de Leeuw, passionate about hair since she was 18.
Ilona works for various beauty, fashion and editorial productions for (inter)national magazines such as ELLE, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and brands as G-Star and Puma. She also teames up on different Fashion Week shows such as Vivienne Westwood, Issa and Rochas.
In her collaboration with KEVIN.MURPHY she is proud to be responsible for the organization of various seminars focusing on editorial hairstyling and education. Next to that Ilona’s work as a Session Master takes her throughout Europe to share and inspire. Sharing, inspiration and people are some of the most important things that drive Ilona to get on stage, create and share her vision. Besides her work as a Session master she happily runs her own boutique salon ’40 square’ in the center of Amsterdam city. The place where Ilona translates her fashion experiences to her longtime beloved clientele.
Camilla Jönsson/ SESSION.MASTER
For the last ten years, Camilla has been working for some of the leading hair brands by travelling, attending hair shows and photo shoots around the world as well as educating. After everything, she still has the same passion for hair, fashion, art, make up and people as she had when she started.
In 2003, she started to work as a technician until 2010 when she started to work as a Nordic Educator Manager. She was also working closely to the International Creative team, being at the photo shoots and creating new collections.
In addition, she has also worked as a SESSION.STYLIST and makeup artist, doing lots of commercial and editorial photo shoots, a work she loves. This took her to Cape Town where she had the opportunity to work full time with photo shoots until the spring of 2013.
Camilla has always been a big fan of competitions. In 2010, she won the title “Hairdresser of the Year” and “Avant Garde of the Year” in Sweden, the two biggest titles in the competition and this year she is in the final for the two titles again.
Camilla’s other big passion in life is animals. Along with a few other people, she has now started a charity project for helping animals and the environment, all while raising awareness to endangered species. The project, FEAR and HOPE, combines fashion and environmental protection though the use of fashion and photography in order to spread awareness of biodiversity loss. Born in beautiful Venice, Italy, Massimo Morello comes from 3 generations of Italian hairdressers, and has been perfecting his craft for the last two decades. Massimo moved to Australia, and for several years he ran a successful hairdressing salon. Totally hooked to KEVIN.MURPHY, Massimo knew he wanted to become an educator for the brand. In 2012 after succeses as a Gold Key, Massimo became the first European STYLE.MASTER. He is now travelling the world to inspire and educate hairdressers in Europe and Asia, working on fashion shows in Paris, Stockholm, Prague, Holland, Copenhagen, and Melbourne and teaching each country’s educators to become more than they ever expected to be.
JUHA-MATTI MANNINEN/ STYLE.MASTER
Juha-Matti Manninen is a KEVIN.MURPHY STYLE.MASTER and educator for Europe. He has educated hairdressers in 26 different countries around the world, and has served as Hair Director for fashion shows in Stockholm, Poland, Hungary, and Croatia. “I am loving my work teaching and educating KEVIN.MURPHY hairdressers as a STYLE.MASTER. It’s such a rewarding experience when I get the opportunity to teach hairdressers something new,” says Manninen. Juha-Matti has also worked on many fashion weeks including Melbourne, London, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. “Fashion weeks are always important because creative people seek inspiration and passion from this world. I’m able to bring back the techniques and visuals from these events for hairdressers all around the globe.”
Emma Hallstensson/ EDUCATION.SUPPORT
In the role of EDUCATION.SUPPORT for Europe, Emma Hallstensson plays an integral role in facilitating hands-on classes for both COLOR.ME and KEVIN.MURPHY in combination with all necessary behind-the-scenes administrative work.
Along with the KEVIN.MURPHY and COLOR.ME team, Emma’s work can be spotted at Fashion Weeks throughout Europe including Stockholm, Copenhagen, Prague, Holland and Paris.
Her career started at a young age and at only 19 years old she was nominated to ”Rookie of the Year” in the Swedish Hairdressing Awards and became the prestige runner up. Having the honour to be in charge of the hair at Nobel Entertainment is also one of the highlights of Emma’s career.
Since 2010, Emma has followed her passion of educating hairdressers and in February 2015 she joined the KEVIN.MURPHY and COLOR.ME family to do what she does best, lending her passion and enthusiasm to the education team.
